this is okay, but it kind of trivializes how people of color of arrested for really filming, or standing, every day; and not some officer saying we can film inside a bullpen nearby and asking us to 3x, but just flat out arresting really for filming — or just “standing while black”

i mean, if it really were such a principle, like you were really being singled out with a rule others weren’t, then why plead down? it’s sort of like you are seeking attention…

i know, this is crabby, it is just people of color are being majorly victimized by nypd and apart from a big rally on 5th avenue, it is really hard to get white folks to notice that, yes, black people really do get arrested for filming, this isn’t at all the same, and if white activists would stop putting up kinda fake stuff like this and putting up what happens every day out in east ny… but that would mean not having the attention… peace

My God! What has become of the United States of America? Where is the land of the free, home of the brave? I’m so sorry that this happened to you, Julie. Except for the fact that the language spoken is English, this looks more like Soviet Russia than the United States. What a travesty of justice!

Sry “lakeena” - but not all the world revolves around your cause, no matter what it is. To say that another’s experience is invalid because it is not your experience is demeaning to ALL people. Why should anyone validate your standpoint when you so calously invalidate everyone else? ALL discrimination is wrong.
